今日鄭麗文主席與由David Sacks率領的外交關係協會（CFR）代表團會面，針對兩岸關係與區域安全進行深度交流，並分享了她近期訪問中國大陸的心得。
主席在會中重申，國民黨致力於建立一個「永續且制度化」的和平框架，並強調維持區域穩定同樣符合美國的利益。她同時表示，國民黨在國防上的立場經常遭到扭曲，事實上開展兩岸對話與強化防衛之間並無矛盾。此外，主席也表示，台灣長年來的對美軍事採購應遵循既有的流程與慣例進行，以確保透明度與程序正義。
最後，Sacks先生邀請主席在未來訪美期間，前往外交關係協會總部訪問，主席對此表示歡迎 。
Today, Chairperson Cheng met with a delegation from the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), led by David Sacks, to discuss cross-strait relations and regional security. She shared insights from her recent trip to mainland China.
She reaffirmed the KMT’s commitment to a “sustainable and institutionalized” peace framework, noting that regional stability is also in the interest of the United States, and clarified that the party’s defense stance is often mischaracterized. Advancing cross-strait dialogue goes hand in hand with strengthening defense procurement.
The Chair added that Taiwan’s long-standing U.S. arms procurement should proceed in line with established institutional processes.
Mr. Sacks also invited the Chair to visit the CFR during a future trip to the United States, which she welcomed.
