印度台北協會(India Taipei Association)會長 德寧瀚(Ninad Deshpande) 於上任滿一個月之際,今日拜會中國國民黨主席鄭麗文。雙方就台灣與印度的雙邊合作與未來發展方向友好交換意見。鄭主席表示,近年來已有許多台灣產業前往印度投資布局,雙邊合作潛力持續擴大。她並分享,國民黨的優先目標之一,是致力於維護台海和平與區域穩定,為經貿與國際合作創造良好環境。
會談中,德寧瀚會長提及台印雙方於2024年2月簽署之相關合作備忘錄(MOU),並期待未來能與國民黨共同推動落實。鄭主席指出,相關合作有助於回應台灣勞動力短缺的實際需求,並回顧自己於擔任立法委員期間,曾率團赴印度參訪。鄭主席表示未來期待持續深化雙方在產業合作、人才培育及人員交流等各方面的合作關係。
Chair Cheng met today with Ninad Deshpande, Director General of the India Taipei Association, who has recently marked one month in office. During the meeting, the two exchanged views on Taiwan–India bilateral cooperation and future directions. Chair Cheng noted that in recent years, many Taiwanese industries have expanded their investment presence in India, which reflects the growing potential for deeper cooperation. She also shared that one of KMT’s key priorities is maintaining cross-strait peace and regional stability, which provides a conducive environment for economic development and international cooperation.
During the discussion, Director General Deshpande referred to the MOU signed by Taiwan and India in February 2024 and expressed his hope to work with the Kuomintang to help advance its implementation. Chair Cheng responded that such cooperation would help address Taiwan’s practical labor shortages, and recalled that during her tenure as a legislator, she had previously led a delegation to visit India. She looks forward to further deepening comprehensive cooperation between Taiwan and India in areas including industrial collaboration, talent development, and people-to-people exchanges.
