Chair Cheng and Representative Fergusson held substantive and constructive discussions on energy policy, regional security, cross-Strait developments, and Australia–Taiwan relationship. The discussion also highlighted opportunities for collaboration on renewable energy, and measures to enhance the stability and resilience of energy supply. Representative Fergusson also recalled Chair Cheng’s 2009 visit to Australia and expressed the Australian side’s welcome for a future visit. The meeting further included an exchange of views on governance models and democratic systems. Chair Cheng underscored that maintaining peace across the Taiwan Strait is not only the shared aspiration of the Taiwanese people but also a matter of significant concern to the international community. The KMT remains committed to strengthening its engagement with Australia and deepening bilateral ties. 原文:
